Clinical from Intake Overview

The Clinical tab in the Intake window can be used to review pertinent clinical information in the Patient Folder and if Clinical Review is enabled, complete the clinical check for one or more prescriptions loaded in the window. For example, a pharmacist counselling a patient at prescription drop-off. While all role types can view this tab from Intake, only pharmacist users can verify and sign the prescriptions.

Intake Field or Checkbox Province Description
EHR Profile Alberta, British Columbia, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Labrador Opens the patient's EHR Profile. If the EHR Profile is viewed in Intake and the prescription is processed, a forced view will not occur in Rx Detail unless a break in patient service occurs.
Allergy Check, Pharmanet Check, D.T Issues British Columbia These checks are required by the province of British Columbia. The Allergy Check can be performed by a pharmacy technician but the D.T Issues and Pharmanet Check must be performed by a pharmacist.
